In case you missed it, Election Day 2025 resulted in big victories for pro-housing candidates across the Triangle. Out of the 26 pro-housing candidates we identified in races large and small, we are thrilled to say that 18 of them were voted into office on Tuesday. From Wendell to Wake Forest, from Holly Springs to Hillsborough, people voted for elected officials that will lead on housing.

A couple of highlights from races that stood out to us:

  • Pro-housing candidates Dustin Ingalls and Deans Eastman were elected to the Town of Wendell Board of Commissioners.

  • Pittsboro voted to elect pro-housing candidate Candace Hunziker as a Town Commissioner, and re-elected pro-housing mayor Kyle Shipp.

  • In Morrisville, pro-housing mayor TJ Cawley held his seat, and pro-housing Harrison Kesling was e…
