Sunday Sketch: Parish Village
Faith-based housing by Grenfell Architecture
For the past 50 years, local policies have made it difficult to build faith-based housing in most of America.
This design from Grenfell Architecture turns a church and its parking lot in McLean, Virginia into a walkable parish village, complete with live-work and missing middle housing.

This type of design for the built environment, coupled with a smart financial model that can ensure our most vulnerable can continue to live on such a property until the end with pride and dignity, is a powerful model to be replicated.
