See Where Raleigh Candidates Stand on Housing
What happened: CITYBUILDER released our 2026 Raleigh City Council Housing Report Cards, evaluating candidates on their support for more housing, affordable housing investment, zoning reforms, and their voting records. We’ve also included candidate questionnaire responses and videos from our candidate forum.
Why it matters: The next City Council will make decisions that shape Raleigh’s housing choices for years to come. Not every candidate approaches housing the same way, and what they say about affordability doesn’t always match their positions on building more homes.
The bottom line: Early voting is underway through October 31, and Election Day is November 3. Before you vote, read our housing report cards, watch the candidates, and share them with a Raleigh voter you know.
